 These classes are designed to help dog owners teach their dogs basic obedience at early adolescence (i.e.- 4-12 months of age).
The classes are run in the evening during the week at our 'Clever Canine Centre'. Dogs attending these classes must be fully vaccinated with a C5 vaccination and have worming up-to-date. Again, we only use positive training methods.
The aim of these classes is to train the dogs to be good citizens and to educate the owners in responsible dog ownership.

Like human heart patients, pets with heart disease require specialised care and treatment. Diederik Gelderman (the Principal) has a particular interest in this field and has attended post graduate courses to advance his expertise in this area.
An ECG, ultrasound (scan) and other diagnostic procedures are all available to ensure the best possible treatment.

We have a very great interest in our ageing pets and will advise you on maintaining them in good health and managing them in good health and managing any age related problems. We actually have a Veterans Club, ask us if you're interested.
Many owners are reluctant to have surgery or dentistry performed on older pets. The modern techniques we use and the sensitive heart and respiratory monitors we have available, greatly reduce any risks.

Most pets require attention to their teeth during their life. Dental plaque, tartar and gum disease are common and cause foul smelling breath, pain and the potential for infection.
We advise on ways of keeping your pet's teeth and gums clean and healthy. Some pets require their teeth cleaned by us. This involves;
- Ultrasonic Scaling
- Polishing and
- Flouride treatment
We can also organise to restore fractured or broken teeth and to do root canal therapy to save teeth.

You are welcome to drop in and weigh your pet any time. Excellent for weight reduction programs or to determine accurate dosing for worming etc. You can also keep your pet's own weight records up to date by using the "Weight Box".

Associated with the Hospital we have a professional grooming and clipping service. It is open every weekday. Many people bring their pets in for weekly baths or trims, others for professional show clipping. Appointments are mandatory.

As with human hospitals we have the facilities to care for critically ill patients in our intensive care unit. We also have an isolation ward for patients with contagious diseases.

Lost or stolen pets are readily identified if implanted with a "grain of rice" size microchip. Each chip has a specific number retrievable by computer and is implanted by injection.
No anaesthesia is necessary and the chip remains implanted for life.

To enable us to get quick and accurate results, we have an in-house pathology service - also essential to monitor our more serious cases.

We have on our Team people who are very interested in and have a particular expertise in both canine and equine reproductive problems.
We are also able to collect and store (freeze) canine and equine semen.

Our resident surgical staff together with our visiting specialists ensure that the highest level of surgical expertise is available to look after your pet.

 Obedience classes are also available for dogs over 12 months of age. They are also held weekly at our 'Clever Canine Centre'. As we currently have three instructors, classes can be conveniently timed and constructed to basically suit your dog's needs.
They range from basic obedience to advanced obedience training and can even encompass retraining for behavioral problems.
Canine Good Citizen courses are also available.
